1. About OxonNode

OxonNode provides digital security services including security assessments, advice, endpoint protection, monitoring, backup services and related technical services.

2. Services

The service supplied will depend on the product or package purchased. The scope will be described on the website, quotation, order confirmation or other service documentation.

3. Customer responsibilities

• Provide accurate information where required.
• Provide appropriate access necessary for the agreed service.
• Follow reasonable security advice.
• Keep account credentials secure.
• Obtain permission before asking us to assess another person’s devices or accounts.
• Ensure you have authority to allow requested checks.
• Keep devices reasonably up to date and maintain appropriate backups where required.
• Notify us of relevant security incidents.
• Do not use our services for unlawful activity.

4. Passwords and credentials

OxonNode does not need your password. Where possible, you enter your own credentials while we guide you. You should never send passwords to OxonNode by email or ordinary messaging.

5. Security services do not guarantee complete protection

No cybersecurity service can guarantee complete protection. OxonNode will take reasonable steps to identify, prevent and reduce security threats using the services, tools and processes applicable to your chosen service. However, threats evolve and we do not guarantee that every threat will be detected, prevented, blocked or removed.

6. Third-party security products

Where OxonNode provides or manages third-party products such as endpoint protection, backup or cloud services, performance depends partly on the capabilities and availability of the relevant provider. Separate third-party terms may apply.

7. Endpoint protection

Where Falcon or another endpoint security product is supplied, customers must follow installation instructions and must not intentionally disable or remove required protection without contacting OxonNode. OxonNode may receive security alerts and technical information generated by the platform.

8. Customer reports

Where a written report is included, it will provide findings and recommendations based on the information available at the time of assessment. A report is not a certification that a device, account or network is completely secure.

9. Security recommendations

We may identify actions such as installing updates, changing passwords, enabling MFA, removing suspicious software, improving backups or changing network settings. You remain responsible for deciding whether and when to implement recommendations unless the action forms part of the service purchased.

10. Remote access

OxonNode will not routinely require unrestricted remote access to customer devices. Where remote access is specifically agreed, it will be limited to the purpose and duration reasonably required.

11. Payment and subscriptions

Prices are shown on our website or provided in a quotation. Subscription services continue until cancelled and are charged according to the billing period stated at purchase.

12. Cancellation and consumer rights

If you are a consumer purchasing online or at a distance, you may have statutory cancellation rights under applicable consumer law. Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Refunds

Refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law, the specific service terms and any cancellation rights applying to the purchase.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that, OxonNode is not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control, customer failure to follow reasonable security recommendations, third-party service failures or other matters described in the full Terms.

15. Data protection

OxonNode processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection law.

16. Acceptable use

Customers must not use OxonNode services to conduct unauthorised security testing, access systems without permission, distribute malware, compromise accounts, conduct attacks or violate another person’s privacy. Security testing must only be performed against systems for which appropriate permission has been obtained.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
